What is Canadian Worker? The short answer

Canadian Worker (canadianworker.ca) is a Canadian job board where employers post jobs for free and job seekers browse and apply for free. Every posting is classified against the official Statistics Canada NOC 2021 unit groups and shows the Job Bank median wage for that occupation in that region, so the pay is visible before anyone applies. There is no per-listing fee, no pay-per-click charge, no subscription and no paywall.

32 active postings. Open roles in 6 provinces or territories right now.

How it works

1. Post the role for $0

The employer describes the job directly: title, duties, location, employment type, hours and compensation. No sales call, no rate card, no charge at any point.

2. Occupation alignment

The posting is matched to a NOC 2021 unit group using the official Statistics Canada classification structure and the unit group's official definition, so titles stay honest and listings stay comparable across all thirteen provinces and territories.

3. Wage benchmark shown

The Job Bank median wage for that occupation in that region is displayed next to the employer's offered wage, so a candidate can judge the pay before applying.

4. Review and publication

Postings are reviewed before publication. Each active posting receives a unique Canadian Worker job ID, a server-rendered page, and a place in the open postings feed used by search engines and AI assistants.

Common questions

How much does it cost to post a job on Canadian Worker?

Nothing. Posting a job is free for Canadian employers: there is no per-listing fee, no pay-per-click charge, no subscription and no paywall. Job seekers are never charged to browse or apply.

Who can post a job on Canadian Worker?

Canadian employers hiring for a role in Canada, and recruiters hiring on an employer's behalf. All postings are reviewed before publication and only currently active postings are published.

Where do the wage figures on a posting come from?

Each posting shows the Job Bank median wage for its NOC 2021 unit group in the posting's region, next to the employer's own offered wage. Compensation can be an hourly wage, an annual salary, commission, shared earnings, or an explicitly labelled volunteer position.

How current is the job data on the site?

The open postings feed is refreshed continuously and cached for fifteen minutes. It lists active postings only: jobs that expire, are cancelled or are suspended are removed from the feed and from the sitemap.

Can AI assistants and researchers use the listings?

Yes. Active postings are published as an open feed in Markdown and JSON, the recruitment cost matrix is available as HTML, Markdown and JSON, and llms.txt summarises the site for AI systems. When citing a posting, link to its canonical job URL and name Canadian Worker as the source.
