📄 Job Description
1. Supervision and Team Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of retail sales staff in the parts department
- Assign duties and prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations
- Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing training, coaching, and guidance
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of staff
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and established sales practices
2. Customer Service Oversight
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service by all team members
- Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and product returns in a professional and timely manner
- Support staff with complex or high-value sales transactions and technical product inquiries
- Promote parts and accessories to meet departmental sales objectives
3. Inventory and Merchandising Control
- Oversee inventory levels and coordinate ordering to maintain adequate stock availability
- Ensure accurate receiving, pricing, labelling, and organization of merchandise
- Maintain orderly and effective product displays in line with retail standards
- Supervise inventory counts and investigate and resolve discrepancies
4. Ordering and Supplier Coordination
- Coordinate procurement of parts and accessories from suppliers
- Monitor outstanding orders and follow up on backorders and delivery timelines
- Authorize returns, exchanges, and warranty claims in accordance with company policies
- Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability and order status
5. Interdepartmental Coordination
- Liaise with service technicians and advisors to ensure timely availability of required parts
- Coordinate parts allocation for service and repair orders
- Work with sales staff to ensure parts and accessories are prepared for customer deliveries
- Communicate order updates and timelines to internal teams
6. Operations and Reporting
- Prepare and review reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and staff activities
- Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the parts department
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
✅ Education Requirements
Secondary School Diploma
✅ Other Requirements
2-3 years retail experience in a parts department
2-3 years supervisory experience
Attention to detail
Keen customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure
