📄 Job Description

Our Apprentice Carpenters assist in crafting wooden structures under the guidance of a skilled carpenter or Supervisor/Manager. Responsibilities include learning trade skills, handling tools, and performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials at Bosman Homefront, in Palmerston, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in measuring and cutting materials to the required specifications

· Assist in assembling and joining materials using nails, screws, staples or adhesives

· Help in fitting and installing windows, frames, floorings, and fixtures

· Assist in interpreting blueprints and following instructions from supervisors and senior carpenters

· Keep the work area clean and organized

· Learn and adhere to safety procedures and regulations

· Attend training sessions and classes to enhance skills and knowledge

· Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

✅ Education Requirements

Min High School Diploma

✅ Regulatory & Certification Requirements

Trade Regulation is voluntary in Ontario

✅ Other Requirements

• Basic carpentry knowledge and skills with at least 2 years experience • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced carpenters • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions • Attention to detail and precision in work • Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors • Ability to work in various weather conditions and at different job sites as needed
